Rare caique photo!

I have never been able to find a photo for a pallid caique, but someone dug one up off a breeders site and posted the link for me! All you caique fanatics out there, I thought you might enjoy this....
Pallid caiques-

Also some green thighed pics, cute as a button!

And here is a black headed caique pic for comparison against the pallid

I personally liked the green thighed ones best :)

Thanks for the info...

Arghh, I have to dig up this site for you Spinnergirl. Nancy speed breeds GT caiques, and a pic on her website shows the GTs with LIME green, they are ADORABLE!!!!
There is one more type of caique that I have not yet found a picture of, the yellow tailed caique.... those are not yet in american aviculture, unfortunatly. Neither are the pallids, which is why it is so amazing just to see a pic of them, as even outside of the states they are hard to find, from what I hear!
Lori- I own a black capped (black headed) caique... he is my baby boy, I love him to absolute pieces.

There are only two types of caiques... the white bellied and the black capped. Each one however has it's own subspecies... Much like eclectus and quakers... I hadn't really looked much into caiques so I'm finding this information interesting as well!

Yes. The only subspecies of the BHC is the pallid, and the WBC has the following subspecies:
Yellow tailed
Green thighed

wow

Thanks much for the picture!!

Wow that green is so bright it doesn't even seem real on that Green-thighed Caique.

What a beautiful parrot that is, and his feathers look sooooo soft!!!

Alright I want one of them also :)
