Our new addition
I will post pics later this evening. Our son has wanted a Caique for about 8 mos. When we got our Alexandrine and Grey, he would play with the Caiques at Omars. He named one of them Gilbert. Well, we went to visit yesterday and "Gilbert" was still there (well, Sam seems to think so). I just got home with Gilbert and can't wait for Sam to come home from school to see his surprise. He's 10 1/2 yrs. old and has a special way with birds. We call him the bird whisperer. When we go into Omars, he goes over to the Macaws and with ease, handles them. He even gets some of the mean Amazons on him. I think it's because he's so calm around them. So, Gilber is our new fid and now Emani (grey), Milo (alexandrine), and Tilly (cockatiel) have a new "brother." I'll post pics later on with Sam and his new little buddy.
Also, mabird, keep posting pics. Sam and I love looking at them and Sam thinks he's such a cool bird. Lori

We are so looking forward to watching him play. He's just settling in to his new environment so he's a little cautious right now. How many do you have? What kind do you have?

I do not have one but a friend has a BH. He is very playful. I also used to love playing with the babies at the bird store. They were always ready to play!

Our new addition pictures
Here are some pics of Gilbert and our son, Sam. When he came home, I didn't say anything to him about Gilbert. He came into the family room and stopped short and his jaw dropped and then he started to cry. He just kept saying, "Gilbert!" He gave me a big hug and thanked me and then he called my husband at work and thanked him and told him how much this meant to him. He's going to make a great bird parent!!!!!
