Thumbs up Right at home

Nokomis is starting to be more comfortable and playful. He's rolling around like a puppy, playing with hands, took a bath under running water- talking to the water and doing the cutest dances.

Woohoo! I just LOVE this little guy!

Hurray!!

I remember his former mama holding him like a baby and tickling his belly! He would wiggle his little legs and giggle, so cute!

Marley is doing great, he's such a little feedbag, he loves little pieces of pizza or banana. (the messier he can get his face, the better!) He sat on my lap during a movie last night, rubbing his face in the blankets and getting lots of cuddles.

I might try to give Marls a bath today, I have a shower perch so I'm not sure if I'm going to try that or give him a bowl of warm water.

Any caique parents tried the wet lettuce leaves?

They do looovveee water. I read somewhere that in South America flocks are often found alongside riverbeds and rubbing on wet leaves. I haven't tried the wet leaves yet.
Bailey sings his heart out when he's getting a shower. That's just have the fun, the other half is when you give them a towel to dry off...they'll rub on that for a good half hour..lol..good way to get some of that caique energy out.

Thanks guys,
I'm really happy about it. His last owner said he never did that- only bathed in his water bowl. So I'm thrilled. He's also playing with lots of different toys, which she said he didn't really do much of.
Yes, he does giggle like a baby. He mouths our fingers like a puppy, he's saying "pretty bird" alot, and lots of other fun stuff.

I've been spending alot of time with him, making sure he's comfortable- so my other's aren't getting out as much. I'm going to have to try harder to make sure they get just as much attention. After all, they were here first.
