Caique and Afriacan Parrot

Do Caique get along well with other birds??? I just adoped a WBC that is one year old and having no luck trying him to get along with my 8 yrs old Senegal Parrot. He just too hyper and try to jump on him everytime my Sennie is close by. My senegal is calm and always either demolishing papers and cardboard or he is on my shoulder snuggling against me. A good thing is my senegal doesn't show any jelousy with me and i try to pay attention to him first. Now my Senegal Parrot get smart and will just walk away or go to different direction if he see my WBC coming. It's only been about a month, so maybe they might need more time to get use to each other. Both are in seperate cage and about 5-6 feet apart, and can look at each other.

I have always heard that caiques are aggressive to other birds. That being said, I do know of a lady who has a hahns macaw and a BH caique that are best friends. They literally hang out together, preen each other, etc. However, they are both around three years old and I am not sure if she got them at the same time or not, in order for them to have that kind of relationship.

My familys WBC absolutely hates smaller African species (Sennies, Red Bellies, etc.). He put a hole in the wing of a baby Sennie when he was still with the breeder. However, he does get along with a Grey, two different lorikeets and a BHC. It depends on the bird, though it's usually better to be safe than sorry with a Caique. They think they're much bigger than they are. :)
