Are Caiques noisy birds?

Hi,i am a proud owner of a chatty/noisy quaker and would like to have another bird so i am thinking of having either a senegal or caiques. My concern is are Caiques noisy birds? The normal call in the morning and evening is fine with me but if it goes on for the whole day i will have to consider cause my quaker can go on making all kinds of noise for the whole day and i would not like to have a second bird like that also.

All birds can be noisy if their needs aren't met or if they are bored and frustrated. I have 10 large parrots. The only small bird here is my Quaker. I would consider her to be among the most quiet of my birds. She can get loud if she's angry about something, but that's the only time. Is your quaker screaming?

Nope it is not screaming but making all kinds of funny noisy, more like quaking talking to itself and trying out all the words that i had taught it and lots of whistle.

My caique, Scooter, makes noise throughout the day. Most of the time it is just talking, whistling or chirping or growling at her toys. Occassionally she'll get loud, usually when I'm preparing lunch or supper--those are her noisest time. I guess to remind me to feed her.

She is, especially when she is squawking--err singing --for her lunch and supper, beaking at the ears or just cuddling your neck before bedtime.

Depends on what you mean by noisy? From your post in answer to Nancy, it seems like you are considering normal bird vocalisations as "noisy". I have 3 Macaws, a black headed Caique and I am regularly exposed to Conures that are breeders. I would consider the Caique probably one of the quietest other than my Eclectus. However my house gets quite noisy at times, since it seems they all feed off the sounds of the others. I haven't caught up to Nancy yet, and I hope I don't, but with 8 birds it can get a bit loud sometimes. However, I am amazed how reasonable it is most of the time when I am able to let them out regularly and give them regular attention.

I would caution you that Caiques like to play with everyone and Quakers are very territorial, so if they are going to be out together, it might not be the best choice.

My Caique gets along with everyone except Gracie, our newly adopted Grey.

The normal bird vocalisations is ok for me cause its normal for them to do that and i understand it ..i really want to have a caique cause i've done some reading and found out that they are really very interesting birds.but in my country, caique are very rare and we dun have breeders here. so i guess i have to wait for quite some times before i get my caique.

Question Compared to sun cunures?

I have a friend that has a sun conure. It is a very cool bird, but that screech goes right through me! Are caiques the same way?

Are Caiques Noisy?

They sure aren't noisy like the Sun Conures. I don't consider the Caiques to be noisy. Normal flock vocalization is normal and probably during the day but not noisy. They do have lots of energy though.

Compared to the noise level of a sun, caiques are quiet. They do vocalize and can get loud when they want, but usually they are quiet little birds.
