new to site, eggs this morning !

I was going to post yesterday about my new paid of canaries I got about 3 weeks ago. The female started to make her nest about a week ago and I was wondering when she would lay her eggs. This morning I came out right when she was pushing the egg out, I know I would never get that opportunity again it was amazing to see. Well she only had 1 egg, but gosh im so surprised at how big it is, it’s the size of a large grape. I was expecting smaller than that. She has started today on it like a good mom and the daddy will bring her food. Will she laid any more or do you think that will be it

Here is some basic info. for ya, now best to go get yourself a few books from the library or purchase from Pet Supermkt. or similar. Also get supplies and formula to have on hand to handfeed if necessary or make the necessary contacts NOW to help you out in case of an emergency.....Best of luck... .....Oh!...Welcome to the board also. :)

joel that is what i am going to do, i have hand feed many birds but much bigger parrots. blue and gold's,eclecus but if i do feed these guys it will be a first. Do you think she will lay any more than just the 1 egg?
