New Society Finch

Well, I went into Petco (which I don't like) and there were two society finch that looked horrible. The little male (based on his dance) has a protruded annus and tummy and his tail feathers are schredded as is one wing. The female which is cream and white was totally bald on the head but in good shape otherwise. I bought them to get them out of there and took them to the vets. The vet felt that Spice (male) was just beat up and that antibotics would not help him however, a good diet, rest and TLC would do him wonders and Sugar (female) was fine, just plucked badly. So home they came and into a nice cage with good foods, herbs, and lots to do. I must say they are improving daily. I had to stairstep perches for Spice to get to things and he is flitting from perch to perch doing great and his eyes seem brighter. I have to clean his bottom now and then but his bottom and tummy seem to have gone down and look more normal than at first. Sugar has pin feathers all over her little head and is very active. Makes me feel good.
