Canaries and Diamond Doves
Will Canaries and Diamond Doves do well caged together? I have read that they do well with Finch and I have a pair of both. Just need to know which ones they will do best with.

I know diamond doves do well with finches, as do canaries, so canaries and diamond doves will probably do fine together.

Yes, canaries and diamond doves do fine together.

Thank you. I will go get them then, quarantine them and then put them with the probably the doves. They are at Petco and have been there for about 5 months. I know I should not support them by buying birds from them, but I hate seeing them there for that long when I have plenty of room for them. I purchased the Diamond Doves from Petco as well and they are doing great. Ash and Willow seem really happy and sound beautiful.

My blue diamond doves Jordan and Jonah coo a friendly hello to Ash & Willow ! I love my dovies very much. They are very tame and gentle. They have blue eyes and waxy orange "budgie cere like" rings around their eyes. They have a soft grey plumage with biege dots and they are very tame. I also have canaries and finches. I read that diamond doves and canaries get along great. Actually at my dove breeder's house there was a little finch bird that would constantly escape his huge mixed finch aviary and wiggle in the mated diamond dove cage, where he'd sit right with the diamond doves. So the breeder stopped putting him back with the finches. It was cute to see the diamond doves snuggled next to the finch bird ! They seemed great friends. I'd love to hear more about your diamond doves, Ash & Willow. What color are they ? Hi Laura, Ash and Willow sound alot like yours. They are soft grey with white spots, the orange ring around the eyes. Ash has a grey tail and Willow's is white. Their sound is so pretty and soothing. I just love doves, all doves.
