Canary beak to long
We purchased our canary (Mr. Peeps) in August 2005, now his top beak appears to be way to long. Can we just snip it off with nail clippers or is there some produre we have to follow. We have 9 cockatiels, 2 parakeets, 5 finches and a double yellow head. This is the first canary we have ever had and we are not sure about his beak. Any help would be appreciated,
thank you |

You can do some very TINY trimming, but you have to realize that birds' beaks have blood supplies and nerve endings. I'd suggest you take him to a groomer or vet and observe how its done. Its so easy to do more harm than good.
