My rose ivory canary who was born last June is presently nesting. Her mate is very devoted to her, and they are amazing to watch.
Chloe, my female canary, has built an impressive nest, and her mate, Colin is feeding her there. Will Chloe's eggs be mature enough being that she is so young. I read in a book that a female canary must be atleast 9 months to have chicks. Will there we problems I need to prepare for ? |

You are right a canary hen should be at least 9 months old preferably 10 months old so she will know how to act as mommy and it will not be to hard on her.

She is about 8 months??? If she's in good health, and is mature enough for her age, then she may be able to successfully raise a family without problems.
I've heard of budgies that not long after they leave the nest and are fully weaned, that they start a family of their own... though in captivity it is recommended that they are at least a year old...
