My canary has diarrhea real bad.
Sicking subject I know.
Missy, who is sitting on two eggs right now, just went to the bathroom and it squirted out of her pretty far, I could hear it from my chair. This is the first time I noticed this. What can I do to help her? I don't want her to dehydrate. She has been drinking and eating, although less, because she is sittintg on her nest. Please tell me what I need to do! |

make sure she has plenty of fluids, dont stress her out or go anywhere near her, but number one thing is to call a vet even if just for advice. you have an advantage in that she will be sitting so is less likely to stress, and she will be warm and still much of the time. if you cant get ho;ld of a vet in the next few hours, put a wee smidgen of glucose in the water, just a tiny bit. this will mAKE sure she can last till you can get her help, but it isnt a substitute for a vet - with little birds, they dehydrate very very quickly.
