Canaries breeding

I just want to ask some things before i do my move into getting into breeding canaries. I read that when i buy a pair, i must seperate them in different cages (but still can see each other, right?) and the male will sing to the hen. Once they work well, i can put them in the same cage with a nest and starting the procedure as God made. If someone can help, i need some really good tips to start. Feel free to describe all the procedure that it must be done.
