nest/egg stealing canary UPDATE!!
in a previous post ( nest/egg stealing canary ) i was concerned about one of my canaries stealing another one's nest/egg... after the 3 young'uns were old enough to fly, i put NB back in the main cage... the same thing occurred... NB and tweety kept taking turns on the nest... i decided to leave them alone... the baby hatched and is now at the goofy gangly stage... yesterday i peeked into the cage and this is what i saw... i guess if we just leave them alone, they figure out what to do... these are the two mothers--keeping their baby warm (ha! notice how how one of them is sitting...that's how big the baby is under her!!)
