update on the murderous zebra finches....
thankfully the three that are left made it through hatchling to flegie stage.now i believe they are juv. and are pretty much on their own. they are taking care of themselves now as they are eating, drinking, and preening on their own.
the second born made it through having most of his feathers picked by the mom or dad and dealing with a bloodied tail from pins being ripped by either parent.second born is pure white with a pink beak and possibly a cream belly.no tear lines or anything are visible.he or she is a very calm yet lively fellow.
third made it out with little to no damage. third looks like a clean white rag that has been used for dusting or something like it.feathers are a mottled white, gray and tan.he or she is the wirey fellow of the group-aka wild thing.the beak is a light black color mottled with a faint pink coloration.
fourth is a common gray male with tear and throat lines starting to appear.he is my most calm chick i have had out of both clutches.
i believe he just started practicing his little song today-just started.i believe i will have another wierd singer... like his brothers.
i'm debating if i want to start another clutch next year in spring sometime.they are very good breeders, they just have some issues.fist batch went well second mom went on a feather picking spree with dad in toe.dunno why dad savagely attacked and killed the one cause the rest he was mostly ok with.
