Just noticed that my society finch nest which had one egg in it has hatched.

Then shortly thereafter, noticed that the zebras that had 3 eggs have one hatched so far.

The society looks like it's growing....the zebra, I'm not so sure about, I couldn't see it when I tried to look, I think they may've ate it or something.... 8-o

The societies are doing well with their baby.

The zebras are not....dunno if the second hatchling died and they threw him out of the nest, or if they threw him out of the nest and he died..... There was one egg left, don't know if it was/is any good or not, it may be a dud. Don't know what their issue was....

The societies continue to do fine with their baby, it's growing.

The zebras were 0 for 3. The final egg never hatched. Dunno what their issue was with things. Their former owners said they had raised a clutch before. Better luck next time I guess.....

The baby has been venturing out of the nest the past couple days.

The dad is dark brown and white pied, the mom is fawn and white pied and crested. The baby is a nice combo of the two, dark brown and white pied and crested.
