Red face Rex - The New Bird

Ok, so Emma has been alone now for a little over a week. But today my grandma and I payed a visit to a bird farm, and the had tons of Zebra Finches there (as well as all sorts of other birds from Parrots to Finches to Pigeons). So I bought a new male for Emma today. He looks a bit different from Darwin, as he has black cheek patches. But he also sounds a bit different. I don't really know how to explain it. I couldn't think of a name for him, but my grandma suggested Rex, and I liked it so that's his name.

Emma and Rex are now together in a new cage. The seem to be ok with each other. They aren't fighting or anything like that. The only thing is that Rex isn't singing. But I'm sure that's normal, as he's probably still acclimating to his new surroundings and conditions.

I took some pics of them earlier so you all can see:

This one really illustrates the color differences between both of them.

Emma Landing:

Caught this photo right as Emma was landing on the water dish. That's why it appears as though her leg is hanging...
