heating panels for canaries?

My canaries are kept in large double flights because they love to fly. The spring babies are getting bigger and will need to be separated soon. I would like to move them out of our main living space rather than moving them into smaller cages, into a room that is kept cooler in the winter.

I've seen heating pannels sold for bird cages. I think they are mostly for birds who tend to perch and snuggle. Has anyone used them for canaries?

Or does anyone know of a safe supplemental heat for canaries. thanks in advance.

How cool is cool? They will be fine down into the fourties!! Im sure your not keeping them that cold. Mine is out in the Aviary right now and the nights are getting sometimes down in the high fourties but avarage fifties right now. I wont bring them in until the nights stay in the mid fourties and dip lower. This is every year. They can handle more than you think as long as there are no cold drafts in an otherwise warm room
