Are Lady Gouldians fairly quiet? Splendid Grass Parakeet?
I have a large empty cage that I really would like to put some colorful birds in. Since the Sun Conure is so loud, I'm looking for quiet colorful birds. I really like the Lady Gouldians but haven't had a chance to be around them except at a pet store. The breeder has a closed aviary so I can't listen to them there. Videos online aren't helping much either. I have 2 female cockatiels and I find their chirping and calls very pleasant. Budgies and canaries chatter too much and zebra finches are a bit noisy as well...perhaps it's their tone.
I was also thinking of the Splendid Grass Parakeet (red chested parakeet). They are gorgeous and from what I've read very quiet as well. I've also read that they are fairly boring to watch so the finches appeal to me more because of their increased activity. I would like at least 2 birds because my cage is taller than I am and 3ft wide and 2ft deep. I'm really looking for pretty but quiet birds that don't require the attention my other birds do. Thanks!

Don't know about the grasskeets, but I find the Gouldian's song to be very soft and pleasant, and the generic calls are quiet too.

Scarlet chested parrots have very quiet and very pleasant voices. You certainly won't get any complaints from the neighbours! They would be quieter then your cockatiels.

Gouldian song is very quiet...If you're using an existing cage the bars should be no more than half inch wide for finches.
