Exclamation Help!!!! Cat In Labor

Sorry I hadn't posted about the stray cat I took in. Ok I will sum it up. The stray cat that roamed our house was pregnant and now she has delivered her first kitten. I posted this on a cat forum but nobody is online. My questions: How long after the next one is due? Should I put a heater infront of her, she is in my brothers room and its kind of chilly in there? How do I know if she is producing milk? Any help will be appreicated. I have my vets phone on hand just incase something happends.

Give her a hot water bottle of WARM not hot water to lie against, keep her warm & expect the next kitten within about 20 mniutes to an hour inbetween :)

Congrats on the cuties ^_^

Thanks she had her first kitten around 12 so I think she should be having the next one any minute now. Hopefully.

No, I think she is only going to have one. She is not in pain and she is up and about. She has good appetite and is wanting to get out of the crate where I have her. Is it normal for her to not pay attention to the kitten? When she gave birth to him/her she clean him/her and all. Anybody know a home made cat formula just in case? Went to my local store but they don't have any kitten formula. (Food Lion)

Can they only have one? She had 3 stillborns when she first arrived at our house.

One is possible but abnormal. Get her checked out by the vet just to be safe. He can also advise on handfeed formula for the kittens, mum is supposed to clean & feed the kitties herself. When mum lays down bring the kitten over & guide him to her teat, give him a good rub with a soft towel to clean him up if hes still mucky.

Ok thanks she is doing much better. She is eating and acting normal now. I might be able to take her to the vet.
