Researching cat breeds

Ashling- Just have to say.... Maine coons- ARE GREAT.....I'm really not much a cat person anymore.........But I adore Maine coons....And my mother in-law breeds the :) So if you find yourself looking into getting one let me know........Im in qld and she does freight them

I've decided on a ragdoll. Going out to meet the breeder in the next couple of weeks to see his adult cats. He and his late wife were one the first to breed ragdolls in my state. Now that he is doing it by himself he's cut down on breeding and no longer shows. Kyeema is registered with both the cat fanciers and the govcerning council. Kittens are all vaccinated and desexed and come home at 12-14 weeks. We had a hchat about my birds and he informed me that they "couldn't catch a cold let alone anything else".

He knows my situation and is happy to wait until I'm ready. Once I've doen my visit and fully satisfied then I can sit back and get on with grieving, renovations and parrot breeding season. Looking at about 5 months before kittens are available anyway.

Oh wow. Thanks I will definitely contact you if I ever decide to get a Maine Coon. In the meantime, I try to slap myself on the wrist when I think about getting another pet

Great choice Abby, ragdolls are beautiful cats and so laid back :) I like the breeder's joke about catching a cold hehe
