tips on my maine coon and eccie....

I am soon to be the new mum of a bay eccie parrot......

I also have a maine coon, Who lives in the house 24/7

I was just wondering if anyone had some tips on teaching her to be ok with the new bub.

I had two maine coons before I got my last lot of birds......

the two boys had never been taught to not try and eat the birds.... one was an ex stud.....and had very little interaction with other animals...... and the other boy had been with us since her was 5weeks old.......

I taught them not to bother my first indian ringneck by one watching them all the time and two having a spray bottle ready to spray when they did try to stalk/harras the bird........

They caught on very quick not to bother him...... So I got another indian ringneck and cockateil....... they were great..

Zemand.....the younger boy (not the ex stud) ended up being friends with Prick ( named by my mother in law who I got him off at 3 yrs old.not me!) cockateil, He used to sit on his cage and let Prick groom him. or when Prick was out he would sit on Zemand and groom him.

Any way I will of corse try the exact same with Kaytie (the girl I have now). but any extra tips will be great help...

Ps: she does and is even at this very momment, looks out the window at birds flying around like she can see food.
