I have two cats and all is peaceful here. The cats are nocturnal. During the day you can't find them, so the birds can be out quite peacefully. Not that I'm no supervising. They are well mannered cats. I don't let the birds do the floor walk about.

Nope, not offended at all.

Ah I see. Poor thing.
I didn't question the use of antibiotics or anything. Just thought he had something in his eye and figured I'd mention it lol. Thanks for clearing it out (pun intended).

aww.. poor little thing... sitting with it's family that had passed away?! How sad!

I'm SO glad someone found her and was able to get her to you! She really if a cutie...

you know if you have the cat around the birds when it's little it might learn to just leave the cats alone concidering thet would become old news...

you should keep that little darling!!

Carbon - Not a problem at all, I don't get offended easily!

My daughter has probably asked about 100 times today, "Can we keep him, he really likes me". She is calling him Dora the Explorer (tried to explain that is not a boy name, pointless with a 4 year old).

I have thought about that, raising him from this age around birds I can condition him to ignore them.

hey menafu can you take some pics when you clean his eyes with yur tongue.... just like the mama right? hehehe

ewh

when my last cat died at 15 i cried for months and months. i still do. mouser i love and miss you.

6 months went by and i went to the pound looking for another grey cat with white paws. the cat i picked out did not care much for me and was standoffish. well out of the corner of my eye i see another cat maybe 3-4 months old just trying like all get out to get my attention.

i asked the technician if i could pet this cat and before you knew it she crawled Up my arm and sat on my shoulder like she had picked me as her owner.

needless to say calio the calico came home with me and the rest is history. she is part of my family now.

i told one of my friends that it was actually a pleasure to smell cat urine and poop in the house again. lmao.

calio leaves my birds alone. imo i think that an indoor cat would more likely be bird friendly since they never have the opportunity to hone their preditory skills outside.

if you havent named him yet i offer POPCORN.
i imagine that this kitten is bouncing off the walls like he is a freshly popped popcorn kernel. hehehe

as an animal lover and a cat lover thank you for saving that cats life.

did you ever deteremine what happened to his siblings?

they have been finding kittens in dumpster here lately. grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Don't let him play with fluffy, feathery objects or toys so that he will be less inclined to see the birds as "playthings." You should be fine keeping him- they can be trained!

Although I think the choice is already made... I have de-ja-vu. I remember when my mum brought home an abanded kitten when I was around 4-5 and guess what? It was white! And about the name- I called him Princess Snowball. My brother called him Poodgy. I can tell you that your daughter thinks the world of him :)

I have a big fat lazy cat He doesn't bother my birds it's my poodles that got ahold of three of my parakeets and had the nerve to hide them under my bed.
