Anyone from the Denton,Tx area traveling to Houston area?

There is a cockatiel avail. that sounds like a love!
I want to get it,but I recently had major surgery and I can't drive that far.
If there is anyone out there that can help...please let me know!

Thanks!
Have a blessed day! :)

Hello m5trent,

Suggestion for ya: I'm sure everyone would like to help to get you a free bird to love you and for you to love it, however, I also think everyone wants to make sure that any bird they help get to you will have a good forever home with a knowledgeable keeper who is capable in all ways to do her best to care for that same bird. Do you have enough savings to pay for possible Avian Vet care in an emergency? Do you have a way to get same bird to an Avian Vet in an emergency etc........May help ya to also post some pics in the photo section to show potential donors the cage and setup the new bird will occupy etc......Also it may be a good idea for you to first invest in proper indoor full spectrum lighting for any bird if you are handicapped and cannot get outside everyday.......Just trying to help you and looking out for your future bird...........Take care and continued good luck....JMHO

Btw, have a Blessed Day yourself...... :)

Hi!
It is not a permanent condition.
I had an abdominal hysterectomy.

I got an e-mail from someone in Denton who can no longer keep their bird.
I am willing to pay the adoption fees and buy both of the bird's enclosures.
(2 diff. sizes.)

If I can talk a family member into a long drive...I will.
I am just trying to find out what my options are.

I have a minor in biology and I am a teacher.

I really appreciate the concern for the bird... :D

Thanks M5 for taking my post in the right light.

I hope you heal quickly & good luck obtaining that or any other bird. I wish I lived closer to you and I would drop one of mine off to you personally.

Btw, I suggest that you make sure you see those existing enclosures before you buy them (in case you haven't already). May be better to invest that money in larger/longer newer ones....Just another suggestion that you already probably thought of. Don't mind me. Just always trying to look out for the birds whenever I can. :D

Thanks, Joel! :)

As soon as I get the Dr.'s O.K., I will get to go and visit my sister in Louisiana.
I checked out the Times-Picayune (sp.?) on they have some others avail. as well.

The owner of the bird in Denton sounds like a caring person who wants to find a good forever home.

Have a blessed week!
