are male tiels less cuddly than female tiels?

Hi I am just wondering do male tiels less enjoy being scratched than female tiels? My previous tiel was a female and she loved having her head scratched(scritching). But my male does like being scratched but doesnt make chirping sounds while hes getting scratched and seems like he less enjoys it. I have read in a book that males are more independent and make the best whistlers and talkers and females intend to be more cuddlier. Is this true?

Is it just me or has anyone got any male tiels which ASKS for scratches? Do male tiels chirp while they are getting scratched as well?
Its because I want to see my tiel someday asking to scratch him instead of me coming to him. My previous female tiel did that but not this one.

I'm not sure if it is true with all male tiels.. but my females do seem more cuddly than my males. The males are more independant and like to go off and do their own thing. The 2 males that will let me pet them do like to have cuddle time though. But only when *they* want to LOL. They do ask for scritches. But they seem to be more hyper... just wanting to play, play, play. LOL

The females will sit with me for longer and would let me pet them forever.

I used to have a male that was a big mommas bird though and he loved to have his head scratched and cuddle time. I guess it all just depends on the bird.

I have two boys who are very cuddly-Maui and Manu. I don't think sex has anything to do with it, it is the personality of the bird and how he was raised.

Hmm I guess I will just have to wait for my tiel to show off his personality then. I know it has a cute side but for some reason it just wants to act like a grown boy!

Wit mine its the opposite. My male is much more cuddly than the female is. Casper will let me scratch him all day with Smokey ...she has to want it...but both are sweeties in their own ways.

My tiel has started to accept scratches much more than he used to now. I think hes getting used to them.

Casey is my sweet baby doll! She LOVES scritches and being with me! She is by far the sweetest of them all!

Kirby, if he's in the mood, can be the MOST ADORABLE thing ever, and OH so cute!!! But then he pulls a Jekyl and Hyde moment and the next thing he does a full blow on attack on you!

Sunshine is sweet too, but she prefers preening you than the other way around! It's cute to feel her little beak going over your eyebrows, your eyelashes, and just being in total awe with your face and hair! Funny experience!
