Bert and Baby are such goofers!!! Baby has adjusted so well to the "Bert Invasion". Baby seemed to be so withdrawn, horrible newborn experience. Just didn't seem to be coming out of her shell. So we got Bert to help perk her up! Well seems I finally came up with a good idea, lol. The "Bert Invasion" was a total success!!!!

Baby is much more vocal, playful, much more irritated ( by her new cage mate), but hey, it's emotion, lol. And nothing funnier than Joe and I having our two conures, BooBoo and Yogi, and the tiels, Baby and Bert, in bed with us each morning watching the news and having our coffee. Though the conures, BooBoo and Yogi still do not appreciate Baby and Bert's presence, it's a circus in bed every morning. Bert and Baby have started being much more playful. After our coffee and news, I put them on their perch's while I get their breakfast ready. Oh my gosh...no one told me tiels play hide and seek, lol.. They are so cute!!!!! We play this every morning now. How did we ever live without our bird babies???? Don't even remember what life was like without them!!!

Lol... I don't know how much fun they have. Maybe they just think that mom is a pest! LOL But I have tons of fun and love my dear babies to bits! Thank you very much Crystal for the compliments

Whenever I put my one Macaw on the bed, she will run under the covers & wait for you to say "Where's Nalah" & then she will run out real fast. She's playing peak a boo, Its cute. Crystal

LOL, when I bring my birds into the bedroom for "mommy time" they usually end up chasing my toes around!

My Tiels play hide and seek too! I have to watch they don't go under the covers.

Bert and Baby are precious. We were looking at a sun conure today and contemplating what it would be like to get another bird. It's not the right time for us but I am curious as to how your 'tiels get along with your conures. (You'd said BooBoo and Yogi don't yet appreciate Bert and Baby.)

Relating to hide and seek- Yesterday, Percy and Roosevelt were on their play perch and I was in the other room. I heard Roo take off and Percy follow him. I came out to see what they were up to and saw Percy walking around near the water cooler. She was tweeting loudly and Roo was answering her. I could not locate Roo and picked Percy up, looking all around. It sounded like the tweets were coming from behind the water cooler but no Roo when I looked. Alas, I looked up and there was Roo way up on top of the kitchen cabinets! Hiding in plain sight!

As to how conures and cockatiels get along? Well the smaller conures tend to be very rambunctious, outgoing, always on the go, and the larger conures tend to be very stubborn and may have a tendency to bully others... well out of 5 cockatiels (currently) and 2 conures... well only two get along...



For hide and seek, well that's always the game with Casey! Being cage-free she's got an entire room to explore. In a way there isn't really much IN there, yet she's still able to find plenty of places to hide!

Oh how funny... must not have the wings clipped to get to the top of the cabinets, lol. They can get very creative the little goofers.

As to how BooBoo and Yogi my cinnamon conures get along with Bert and Baby... well... um... not very, lol. My conures are less than 1 year and were pretty much of the frame of mind that they were the ONLY BIRDS in the world. I don't even think they know they are birds, really. Usually they try to nip at the tiels, sometimes getting a few feathers. I'm still working on their nasty welcome to the tiels but it might take some time. I have the tiels and conures across the room from eachother, each with their own network of perches and such.
