Question strange dropping question

I have a first time hen who's sitting on 4 eggs now. She should have had egg number 5 yesterday. I went to clean cages this morning and this is what I found! untitled.JPG

I've been breeding cockatiels for years and never have I seen droppings of this size! Both birds seem ok. The hen doesn't look like she's in distress or anything. There's no blood in the dropping. it measures 3 inches by 2 inches! Any clues why? Should I be worried?

The dropping looks like something from our Nanday conure. It is rather large.

I didn't know what to say about the dropping yesterday, but I thought the same thing as CforC. Looks like the poop that my Sennie saves up all night to drop in the morning. I do hope your tiel hen in OK. I've never had tiel babies at my house, so I can't help with experience.

My tiel had droppings that were huge like that when she was spending a long time sitting on her eggs. It's hard to tell from the pic if there was a partially formed egg in there. when my tiel had "bad" eggs, they sometimes blocked the poop until they passed but there was usually evidence of the egg.

I didn't see any part of an egg there. That's what one of my first thoughts were too!

Tielmama~ So well put! It's as if Sunny saves it up all night (and I am sure he does as he won't poop in his Happy Hut) and just lets loose in the a.m.!

FeatherFanatics~ I hope your hen is all right. Keep us posted.
