Thumbs up One new baby hatched today!

My new baby is either lutino or albino. It was born with yellow fuzz but mama is white. I'm so excited. My next on may hatch tomorrow.

Congratulations! If it is yellow fuzz with red eyes it is a lutino, yellow with black eyes it is not lutino and will be some other color and for it to be a whiteface lutino the fuzz would be white instead of yellow.

Thank you for the info

I wasn't sure how that worked. There is a lot of yellow on daddy he is grey but has a yellow belly it is so cute seeing the yellow on his belly. His mama was a yellow pearl

I love how with smaller birds you can wait for them to hatch and try to guess the mutation!! Welcome to the world little fuzzy! I hope your next one hatches tomorrow..

If the dad is not a whiteface or split to whiteface then none of the babies will be whiteface because the yellow face will dominate. Either way, hope the next one hatches soon!

Sugar is the mama she is white

The picture you see with my signature is the mama she is white face. She is almost solid white with the exception of some pearling on her one wing and it is cinamon. The rest of her body is solid white.

It sounds like your daddy bird might be pied. He might have other factors too like cinnamon pied, depending on how dark his grey is. Do you have a picture of him?

I know the chick's eyes aren't open yet, but what do they look like? If you see big dark spots it's a dark-eyed chick. Red eyes don't show up as much against the bright pink skin of a chick, and when my lutino chicks first hatched it almost looked like they didn't have eyes.

Wink Daddy is a pied grey

he is mostly Gray but a lot of his gray is light gray on his back and tail it almost looks silver. His wings are darker gray. The wings have a lot of white on them on the lower part. On one of his wings on the bottom is white and yellow on the very bottom. His head is yellow with orange cheeks around his neck is white and on the back of his head is mostly white with a little yellow. His crest is yellow with a little gray running through it. He has a small spot of yellow about the size of a dime on his tummy. Lol I call him yellow belly. A little bit of yellow between his legs also

I'd guess that he's normal pied, because of the darker gray on the wings. Normal gray pieds can have light-colored gray spots and darker colors too. Cinnamon pied would only have lighter grays.
