New cockatiel

Hi... we just bought my mum a baby cockatiel and were after some feeding advice. When we bought max he was 7 weeks old and still on the baby powdered formula (he is now 10 weeks old). My mum has been giving him this morning and night and while he still screams for it at feeding time, he has been digging into the seed and arrowroot biscuits in his cage all day, so we are thinking he couldn't possibly still be hungry. When should she stop feeding him the baby formula? Also at what age should you start worming a cockatiel?

She should start weaning to one feeding a day now. To do this, she should reduce the amount she is feeding at one of the feedings slowly over the course of a couple of weeks (gradual reduction of 1cc each day) until she is down to 1cc and then stop that feeding all together and keep him at one feeding a day for 2 weeks and then slowly start weaning him from that over a period of time. Follow the birds lead on this, as you do not want to force wean him, but abundantly wean him (it being his idea).
