I'm not quite sure what mites you mean. There is a photo of some feather mites here.

Hi this was from Anne Samantha's Mom. re Nenry's mites. Quote: 'mites tiels rarely get them...that is quite odd ok wait though this is the one that was out in the wild..in that case I understand. (please and I know you know this..no mite protectors in the cage those are pure poison) but sounds like it was well worth it to bring them to the vet ...glad they are doing well dear'

It usually takes some meds from the vet to get rid of mites. Usually it takes 1 application and a follow up visit to see if they're gone. If one bird has them, the rest of the flock will get them so it's best to take them all in for treatment.
