Whistling : Is there such a thing as too much?

Hey all. I make a habit of whistling to the cockatiels if I'm in the room with them and they're not sleeping, or if Bonnie shouts at me when I come in / leave the room. I know when I leave she's doing a 'finding' call to see where I've gone and making sure I keep contact and, unless I'm otherwise occupied (like brushing my teeth) I whistle back

Bonnie for the most part whistles in return if she's in a talkative mood (this is usually around the afternoon, about 11-2pm) or doesn't if she's face-deep in food. Angel chats back too but Bonnie is the more active whistler.

Is there such a thing as whistling too much to the birds? I talk to them too, they understand ''ey!' (which usually means, don't do that), 'stop laughing at me!' which is used when Bonnie is making a laughing noise, 'go get your seed' when I've just changed it, and 'come see me' to Angel when she wants her head scritched but has to come closer for it. As well as 'awww pretty girl', again for Angel. But most of the time it's whistling

Your female cockatiel whistle too much? Are you sure it's not a male?

She lays eggs, she's a definate female XD

I didn't mean SHE whistles too much, I was just wondering if it was possible that I myself whistle too much at them. Her range is limited but she's loud in what she knows

I don't think so :) Unless you don't WANT her whistling in return, I don't see a problem :)
