Exclamation still trying to tame my tiel...

i got a untamed tiel about 2 years old a few weeks ago and im realy having trouble taming her. if anything, shes getting worse... i dont know why but randomly like everyday now she'll start screaming uncontrolably and acting all scared and angry and everything... she didnt do that in the beginning. and also, well she (atleast i think shes a she) always hisses at me when i try to open her cage but you know when its dirty it has to be cleaned, so she used to have no problem but i was about to clean it today and she acted like she would snap if i even dared to stick in a finger... advice?

Patience, patience, and more patience. Have you picked up the book "The Second Hand Bird"? An older bird will be harder to earn it's trust.

as christie 99 said patience is the key . Scooter is a pet store" hand raised" that hates hands. took her almost a year to fly to my shoulder.. of her own free will. I never asked her to do anything but step up on a perch. Only so I could get her back in her cage when she was out. I had her in a smaller cage at that point, so she was on the table with us at dinner time. one day at dinner she decided she wanted to eat what I was eating and flew on my shoulder I gave her some . we have been best buds since. she has been with me about 3 years.

I'd like to know, first hand, what interactions, and how, are being done with this new tiel to try and understand the situation better.
