Hi everyone, i am keeping "pumkin" in my dining room (yes he's finally got a name haha) And he's away from my grey harry who's in my lounge. We are washing our hands with cleaning gel after handling him just to be safe, so i assume this is quarantining him? He's been allot more vocal today. He sort of does a cheepy whistle type call and its like he's after attention lol which is nice!!!. He's eating well and playing more frequently in his cage. He's still sleeping allot, but i guess its tired him out, all those months of neglect and abuse. I will post u some more photos in a few days time. Oh, and his feathers dont sem as greasy today as i gave him a spray bath earlier in a nice warm room. Thankyou everyone for your kind words. sharyn x

No, that is not quarantine, but a decent practice.

Bird germs are 99% of the time airborne and you need to have the bird in a seperate air space, wash your hands, and change your clothes in between. There is a link to proper quarantine procedures on my site linked below.

Personally, I think he looks sick, and should be taken to an a-vet asap.

Find Your Local Avian Vet Here!

Please take him in to get examined!!!! Those yellow feathers do not look healthy, and could be caused by liver disease, or some other medical issue. Get a blood panel done, and fecal! Please, and let us know the results!
