M2 ,2 Dogs, And One Dumb M2 Owner

Tango is the absolute ruler of the household and when he walks the dogs walk the other way. The last couple of weeks Tango climbed on to the utility table and was helping himself to dog kibble. Now comes the really dumb M2 owner part. To stop Tango I would get a few pieces and put the kibble in a puzzle. It became a game and he would quickly get the dog kibble.

Yesterday Tango had an emergency visit to the Vet. He was picking on his foot which was caused by too much protein in his system. He's now on antibiotics because he had puss in his urine. Lesson learned. The dumb M2 owner is sticking to Harrison's pellets and other approved foods.

BTW, other than the picking on his foot you wouldn't know by this video that he was on his way to a serious kidney infection.

Here's Tango giving some advice to the dogs

Thank you for being brave enough to admit your own mistake so that we could all learn from it.I hope your bird makes it.

Welcome to the Bird Board, Graygeek! This man has some wonderful stories to tell about his Tango .... one of the most spoiled M2s I've ever "met" on the internet.

Tango sounds like he is top dog at your house. Keep him out of the kibble!

I would LOVE to hear more about him. Don't tell Maxie, but I secretly would love to have an M2 as well. (Maybe a female M2)

Hey Birdlady,

Good to see you here. I know an M2 or two that is more spoiled than Tango. One might be a female 2 in California

How about 2 minutes with 2 to better know Tango

this thread is a bit old but I wanted to say I've seen your youtube videos, they are great!

I love the one where Tango tips over the tub of water. =)

OMG.... I absolutely LOVE Tango! He's adorable. I am so looking forward to hearing all of your Tango stories and hopefully learning from them. The M2 is my dream bird but I am just reluctant for two reasons... Their noise level and their need for attention.
Thank you for sharing your story.

Whow....that Tango is beautiful, you better take good care of him. My 3 Labs love my UToo but I would never leave the room with her out because I know they are very jealous that she talks to me in vocal words, and they only know sign language, and barking. Sometimes I let my parrots have a little cat kibble, maybe I should stop. Meanwhile, Lets see somemore of Tango.
