[Janet and Casper]

Hi there,
I own a U2 named "Casper" she is approximately 9 1/2 months old, I just got her in the middle of December 2004. She is a great bird. I got her from a breeder in B.C. Canada. She has a little problem, when she was a chick, her parents started to pick at her feathers on her shoulders so the breeder took her away from the parents and started to hand feed her, well when her feathers started to come in, she developed little cysts varrying in sizes, nothing bigger then a small pea, anyways so in those areas she just has down there, she had a couple of them removed by an avian vet in her area,and I spoke to the vet before getting her, she said it was nothing to worry about really, they were just full of kind of feather material, almost like ingrown feathers, anyways was told to watch them to make sure none get infected. I have had no problems as of yet and she is such a sweet bird. I would like to know if there is anyone else in Saskatchewan Canada with cockatoos, if so I wouldnt mind chating with you just for fun. Or anyone else for that matter. thanks Janet.

Hi Janet. I saw Casper's picture this morning. Very cute. How old is he? I have a 7 month old male Umbrella. His pictures (3) are in the photo album.

Hi there mamalovesrico, Casper is approximately 9 1/2 months old, I'm not sure as to what sex she/he is, the breeder thought that mabye casper was a female,but who knows without the DNA testing. I dont vcare either way, but I just call her a she!! Do you know for sure that yours is a male? thankyou for commenting on Caspers picture. I will check out your pictures.
