Thumbs up Whiteboy's Vet Visit

Whiteboy went to the vet today to get his nails trimmed. I tried once, and made him bleed, so I became too afraid to do it myself. Anyway, he did great, and while we were there we got a fecal exam that was all clear. They did a gram stain and a swab of his birdie throat (a word I can't spell). That was all good too, so I'm happy. He developed a crush on the assistant right away while he was there. She had a B&G Macaw, so she was very bird friendly and not afraid of him at all. She said that he was exceptionally sweet! He weighed 538 grams. I don't know if that's good or bad. It took a long time there and we had a 20 minute ride each way, so when he got home, he tucked his beak in his back, and went to sleep. He's up again now eating his blackeyed peas.

Glad to hear that Whiteboy had a good vet visit!

Sydney also went right to sleep after we got home from his AV visit last Sat.
