Exclamation Feeding Umbrella Macaw exact handfeeding baby food

I was walking threw the store and overheard 2 ladies talking about handfeeding her new umbrella cockatoo and of course I stopped and listened heh. She was telling her friend that she feeds ALL of her birds the macaw only exact handfeeding formula. It says on the package of it that it's not for cockatoos. I have macaws and I buy that formula for them. I have a umbrella too that gets the reg kind.

I'm wondering is that going to hurt her bird? Or does it really not matter?

I've heard it's best to feed the normal formula, except for cockatoos who may have a higher fat diet than others, and thus may need to be fed the macaw handfeeding formula.

I don't know of any issues with having too much fat in a too's diet so I can't say.
