New Bird

Hello, My name is Deanne and I have recently purchased an M2. The breeder has been feeding him Kaytee Rainbow Chunky foods. I have been reading up on the different foods and have use Zupreme Avian Entrees in the past and was pleased with it. However, I have been wondering about Harrisons foods. Has anyone tried them? Are they worth the extra cost? Or do other food have the same benefit?

Thanks for your time,
Deanne and the yet to be named M2.

I use Harrisons for my parrotlets, 2 of them eat it, 1 will not, this is not harrisons fault, Buddy was raised on seeds only, I am having a heck of a time trying to get him changed over. I like Harrisons, its very nutritious.

Harrison's seems to be the gold standard. My Hahns didn't touch it but it really seems to be a good product. I will try to introduce it again at some point because I've only read good about it.

Thanks

Thanks for the input. I have not read anything bad about it but I have read bad stuff about Kaytee (which he is on now). I was going to switch him anyway, but now I have to make up my mind...either Harrisons or Zupreem Avian Entrees...

Thanks Again!

My guys were weaned onto zupreem and really enjoy but recently I have just finished switching them to harrisons. It was not too hard to get them switched over either which was a plus for me. It is more expensive but I have noticed that they actually waste less of the harrisons. My conures seem to like to play with the zupreem more and wasted alot of it.
My main reason for switching them was because I myself eat mostly organic foods and thought I should also try to get my animals eating organic. My vet also highly recommands it for them but she also said Zupreem was good too but Harrisons was slightly better.

Mine will only eat Zupreem as well. The Harrisons... they wont touch it, and "yes" I have tried. My vet pushes it, but admits too that his fids will not eat the stuff either.

Do you have the link to the free sample? I am also trying to find an organic food that my birds will eat (and like).

Your vet will give you free samples, if you ask. I know mine does.
