Ok so I have been tryiing to downsize and have done a good job at it, though it was heart breaking. We did find 5 birds 3 wonderful homes........the families are keeping in touch as of now........

Now, I have been contacted to take on a female goffin, who is said to be about 6. The story with her is she had flown away and lived in the trees and electrical wires for 6 months. The owner couldnt coax her down, one day they were having a bbq and Sidney decided she wanted what the kids were eating so came down and joined them. They took her back in but noticed the owls had really done a number on her toes.......they are healed........ Well a new family took her in for the last 2 years, but cant keep her, as she hates the husband and will do anything to try to get him. They have asked me to take her in for $200(which I know is a wonderful deal). My question after this long story, will she be okay switching homes, she loves her mommy. She is handable by the mom but no one else. How should I approach this transaction to make it easiest on her. the ride home is going to be 4 hours and I know she is going to be stressed from this, so i just want to make it somewhat easy. Should I bring something to cover her cage?

not trying to be mean, but you just downsized. You gave 3 birds away, so why are you adding another? Not trying to attack, BUT....

Where do you live?

I would think she will settle in, but it may take time. She was out for 6 months struggling. So she may not be so easily trusting.

I know its not an attack and that is the dilemma i am in, i just downsized and feeling bad about even thinking about adding her.............dont know what to do

Where are you located?
I guess if you felt like you needed to downsize and rehomed 3 of your fids, then the obvious answer is there infront of you. But only you know what you can handle and can't!
