I totally understand where you're coming from. You were freaking out and wrote the first thing that came to mind. Its a slang term. Not a good one mind you but nevertheless, I certainly saw where you were coming from. You were coming off a major freakout of a fid you love. I speak without analyzing and disecting what I am saying all the time. We all do. I really didn't read it either though as the poster was attacking you but saying a statement. Lets move on and not argue or bicker. ;-)

When you first posted - I thought perhaps your bird was afraid of the new toy, and that is why it was shaking, but I've only seen lovebirds masterbate before, and it looks quite different from shaking all over.

I do not think you are coming off like a b*tch at all
But if your niece has a diagnosis of mental illness or intellectual disabilities then you should be very glad that there are people like me that stand up for using degrading words and you should most definitely understand and be sensitive to where I am coming from, to me it is the same as using other remarks to "label " different races. I have worked in this field for over 20 years and as an advocate for the people I support just thought that people could take offense to that, that is all. No harm done and not being b--tch just expressing my thoughts that is all and thought I did it in a very professional manner.
Sorry if you found it offensive to you but was not intended that way and did not mean to make you so defensive. And I am certainly am far from a saint and do not claim to be.
And yes I know this thread is about your bird and as you could see I also included my opinion on that. I am certainly glad you found out what was wrong and that their is no reason to be alarmed. Will not derail the thread again. Thanks

I have had my teils for about 19 years and this past year is the first time I saw the girl doing anything odd. She was sitting on top of a fluffy toy and rocking and whistling while the boy was sitting near her and pacing back and forth with his crest up. My first thought was what the heck is going on. My second was to say OMG and leave the room.

No grandfids but she hops on that toy as soon as she gets out of the cage. I don't dare put it inside because well too much of a good thing mightnot be so good. But boy does he like to watch
