I've met a few galahs over the years... one I've met who was very sweet, however I only touched her while she was in her cage... and I didn't get to see her for long so I don't really know what her overall personality is like.
Another one I've met more recently, who's just a baby (but fully weaned), seemed very aloof. He had accidently broken his right wing as a youngster, and I'm not sure why it couldn't be fixed... either way, he was very aloof, very cute, note really that loud, but he loved scritches! He's such a goofy little bird! As far as diet, the only thing I can really tell you that he may need extra of, is calcium.

A Galah's diet should be low in fat. If a high fat content is given to them such as sunflower and safflower seeds, this will result in Fatty Lipomas around the vent area's. I feed my Galah's fresh fruits and vegies, Zupreem Fruit Blend Conure, and as a treat- Parakeet Seed (Low in Fat). Hope this helps!
