Is she molting? Birds go through periods where they lose some of their old feathers, which are replaced by new ones. It's not particularly pleasant for them, and they are often very moody while molting. Could this be it?

As to losing weight - have you been weighing her? That would be a cause of concern, and if that's the case, I would take her to the vet.

Can you give us more info? First off how old is she? How much interaction does she get each day. Is there anything "NEW" in her life (people, furniture, anything). Does she have and play with toys. Whats her diet like? Are you sure its a she? These will help us to help you.

She could be sick, thus an avian vet visit would be required...

Do you provide Red Palm Oil?

She is right at 7-8 years old yes we are sure she is a female she has laid a few eggs .
My husband plays with her about an hour a day she doesn't like moving very far away from her cage. She doesn't like our dogs she chases after them trying to bite them. The only new thing in her life is a new baby B&G Macaw Calypso, she eats different things bird pellets nuts macaroni&cheese ,pasta broccoli ,toast ,bananas, pineapples, beef, chicken, ham, she usually has whatever we are having other then salad's and choclate, she will not let me touch her only my husband & son ,so I can not get her out while my husband is at work , We have homemade toy's in her cage, that she really doesn't play with she will chew on the wood back that is it but she does not like to be crowded i can tell it stresses her out we have only had her 7 months the lady we got her from had her outside in a rabbit hunch along with a male who she sold prior to us getting Penny.

Just because she chases the dogs and tries to bite them doesnt mean she doesnt like them, lol. (weird cockatoo thing) Mine LOVES to chase after and bite things in play. Even me sometimes. She loves me.
Ham is too much salt - leave it out and although some meat is OK use it in moderation and try to get her to eat some of that salad (minus the dressing)
As for the new bay Macaw - YES, this can stress her out enough to pluck. Esp a Too who has always been center of attention. Esp if you Husband and son (which she has chosen) are paying it allot of attention.
First off I would get her to the Doc to rule out anything weird, esp if she has never been or hasnt been for a long time.
You have only had her a short while and she was ill kept before that OUTSIDE. I hoped you quarantined your new bird from her for at least a month?? Esp a bird kept outdoors. She can be a carrier of awful disease that your new bird can get. Even if she doesnt appear sick at all. I say vet check first for both of them and then go from there.
