Just a couple of pics of me with the old girl. Excuse the lack of make up exhausted look on me. Scruffy is mum's girl all the way. She did a sneak attack on my oldest son last night. yep, despite how sick she is Scruff still has some bite left in her.

She's gorgeous! Very vibrant! Perhaps it's the camera, but I don't think I've seen a galah with such intense coloration! Suppose the two of you get to get better together!!!!

The colouring is actually due to the liver and thyroid issues.

This is the result of the vet visit on Monday.
Scruffy's vet visit
I was bang on the money about the liver and infection. A friend pointed out that there may be a thyroid issue too which the vet said also.

Wow, she is lucky she has you now to properly care for her. Don't you just love it...why buy an expensive bird if you can not afford to feed it???

I have a 45 year old blind DYH Amazon that was fed wild bird seed...crap, too. He is probably only alive because of exceptional genes (wild caught) and occasional people food. Needless to say he eats Harrison's now and veggies and fruit. I also take him out to sit in the sun.

Good job on what you are doing for this beautiful bird.

Aw, that's too bad, since it really is lovely coloring! But her health is certainly more important, so we must hope for a speedy recovery for her!
