Cece

I talk about my mom's moluccans quite a bit but haven't shared any photos. While I was at her house yesterday, she took some of Cece while I was holding her. She is very wet in the pictures so she doesn't look her best but I can only handle her when she's wet because of all the dander. I raised her from the time she was about 10 weeks until she was 14 months and we were sure that was what was making me very ill. My mom couldn't bare to part with her because she's always loved my mom. I miss her so much. There is nothing like the snuggles and cuddles of a cockatoo. I had a 3yr and 1 1/2 yr old with me that I was babysitting. She did so well with them. She allowed kisses and little hands all over her body. They had so much fun with her. She talked to them a little which had them giggling like crazy.

A mollucan is expensive in Australia? More than a major mitchell's or a black one? Wow, that's odd sounding! lol

I love the mollucans-they're gorgeous.

That's funny. In the US, moluccans are about 1600, major mitchells 3000-4000, black cockatoos are closer to 12,000-15,000. The majors are the most beautiful imo. I've seen lots of pictures on line and wasn't too impressed but in person, Wow!!!

Thank you all for your compliments. Cecilia is 3 1/2 yrs old. I forgot to mention that. She's a bit of a brat. When she lived with me, she would go to my mom for snuggles and give me the evil eye. Now when my mom doesn't do what she wants, she leaves her for my dad and gives her the evil eye. lol She is a love though. I miss having her and Princess crawl all over me giving me kisses and preening me. When I go to my parents' house, the birds hear me talk even if I am outside whispering. They call to me and expect me to be their climbing tree and give them lots of snuggles. They don't understand that I can't always because their dander makes me sick. If I wasn't allergic, I would probably have a dozen of them. Of course, my family would put me in a mental institution but all that loving might be worth it. lol
