Male U2 Free - anyone near NH???

One of my friends showed me this ad today! 11 year old male in Hopkinton NH looking for a home!!!! I dont have space, or funds to support another bird but I would be willing to do whatever I could to help him get a good home. Here is the CL ad:

That is so sad too bad we are in Ohio. And don't have the funds to have him shipped to us.

I have to say that reading the ad, the owner does seem to want what is best for the bird, and not looking to make a buck.

I wish Ohio was closer! I would meet you half way!

I know! I read the ad to my husband and he just looked at me like "you can't be serious?" He isn't as fond of the bird thing as I am but he swears he will keep his promise about my CAGs. I have been doing my research for a while now and know I could give this guy a good home. But NH is just too far away, especially with our van right now. There are people out there closer to him that could give him that forever home he needs. And I feel confident she is going to interview them to a T, to make sure of it. Posts like this make me happy but sad at the same time.

It would be so great to help this guy get a great home! Michigan.....hmmm....how far is that? It would make a great roadtrip...our leaves are beautiful rigt now, so it would be scenic too! There is nothing like Fall in New England, and the U2 would make the trip so much more exciting! :>)

If we had seen this or it had been posted in the summer, we would have given him a home. We adopted Ollie, a 6 year old U2, in July. He has adjusted real well. He had some plucking issues when we got him but they went away real quick. He bonded to me (Shawn) and loves my wife when I am not home. She can pet him under his wings and feed him and such, but not pick him up. He is such a good boy.
Anyways, I hope he finds a good home. Too's are a lot of work but so worth it.

Red face

Oh, come on Kim... rearrange a little furniture. I'm sure you can make room. With all those "fleshy kids", your house must be fairly large. I'm sure you could make it work!
