If you use a cat/dog crate that has plastic sides so it's pretty dark, try an open kennel or a small bird cage/carrying cage. If you are already using a small bird cage/carrying cage that's really open, try covering it, or use a plastic sided crate (hoping she doesn't decide to chew it up).


Try different carriers. Covered, or uncovered. Perhaps even with some music on.

Presently we are using a dog/cat crate, have used it for 10 years so it is a little chewed. We have a large collaspable (sp) cage we take along to set up when we arrive at our destination. So you think we need to try something more open, like a kennel or small bird cage to see if it makes a difference in Amy not getting car sick?

I have tried many ways to remedy Amy getting car sick, maybe there is an answer somewhere! after dealing with this issue for 10 years.
