Friendly bird singling out 1 person to attack
I'm looking for some insight; I volunteer at a bird rescue and one of the U2's is very outgoing and affectionate. Whenever a new person comes she can't wait to get on them and explore, going down the shirt, climbing all over etc. She likes to open her beak and peck like a woodpecker while whistling. She is very cuddly and affectionate with almost everyone she comes in contact with. The only exception is one of the women that runs the rescue. She will fly off whatever or whoever she is on to attack her. What do you think she is doing?

Yep I think Astrid has it, you've got to realise we don't like everyone we meet, some people cheese us off completely....why should a bird be different. There's a BE2 at the local bird place (she's not for sale) who tried to attack me the first time she saw me....the rest of the in-house Toos go gooey over me (and me them!). The owner says the BE2 just hates women...I've told the bird (from a distance) that its OK she doesn't have to like me....and she hasn't tried to hurt me since. Perhaps the woman should just keep away from the bird.

You say the woman runs the place? Would you say the woman puts off an Aura of Authority towards the animals and workers. It's possible the U2 sees and recognizes this and therefor is rebellious.
It's possible the U2 see's this person as the person who makes the "fun" people go away. Too's are like 4 to 6yr old kids (more so than most birds in MHO) and those kids wine and lash out when they don't get attention. They attack things that take attention away from them or it's something they want as their own (like a brother or sister hitting each other). For example, in the cage my U2 loves me and actually likes my wife (only when I'm around). When I take her out of the cage, the U2 rushes to my wife to get to the highest spot on her to either "chomp" or scream as to declare, get away from my man! Obviously my U2 is bonded to me primarily. But in a social situation the role could be the same... wanting mass affection and attacking the one thing that has the power in their eyes to stop the affection/attention. Or like they say below... maybe the Too just doesn't like her and sees her as a threat! Good question BTW
