Introducing Daisy

She has already bitten me, during wing trim. Nothing major at all. She loves me, and readily gives kisses. She is a nervous bird but she has been through allot the past week. She steps up for anyone. Full of personality.

Beautiful

What a beautiful Sun you have there. They can brighten up any room just with thier presence.

My conure is nervous all the time (when I want attention).

Thanks for the pic, sounds like she is a real sweetie :)

Actually Kristy, Daisy is a jenday conure! And a lovely looking one at that, too! Sounds like it may take time for her to get used to the others, once they meat, but she'll probably do fine!

Well then what a beautiful Jenday.....and yes a very beautiful one. I did not realize there was another yellow conure. I have to go and do some research.

What kind of personality do the Jendays have?

Jendays are very much similar to suns.... but since you didn't know about other yellow conures, I think you need to do a search on the Queen of Bavaria Conure!

You do indeed have a very beautiful little Jenday there! It's great that she loves you already! Queen of Bavaria conures are pretty rare aren't they?

More pictures (the only problem I have with her so far, is she screams when sitting on my shoulder, but doesn't want to be anywhere else. She bites at the clothes and has bitten me a couple times- she plays rough!)

Sounds like Daisy has some gettin used to you as well! For the first couple of years of having Noel, she'd screech in my ears if I had her with me, mainly sitting on my shoulder, for more than 5-10 minutes! I hope Daisy's not too loud now!
