Wink To Conure or not to Conure...

Hello!

I am new to Birdboard.com! If any of you know the user "Xavier" she's my sister. Anyways, i'm looking into Conyures. This would be my first bird, and I would like something smaller in size and easier to take care of! Rue suggested a green cheek conure for me.

Wat do you guys think? A conyure for a soon to be ten year old? If you hav any other conyures that would be OK please tell me! I saw some black-cappd conyures and they were very sweet...

Thank you for you're opinions, and I look forward to reading them!!!

Maroon bellied, green cheeks, black caps, pearly, white eared, maroon tailed, hoffmanns...

If you can see what in your area is available, or what is available from breeders, you may be more interested in seeing photos or even visiting the birds before choosing a specific pyrrhura conure...

jenday conures

The Jenday conures are really pretty birds. the tend to be louder than the gcc's though. they have bright orange and yellow green and blue on the wings.the sun conure is very similar and from what i've seen they are easier to find.

It's one of the few abbreviations here! If you want, check out this thread... it has a list of bird abbreviations!

Cass
Look above at the avatar~~ Patagonian Conure, the largest of the conures, but sweet as can be. No biting, no screaming. (well, very little)

i have a black capped, and he's SoOooO precious!

loves to play, loves attention, eats very well and isn't really hard to get him to eat new good stuff, gets along with my other birds, although they don't like him...lol. Only problem with him is that he whines whenever he gets put into his cage for bed time...lol but that's only minor. and he's VERY quiet....
