Question introducing my conure to something new

My Blue-Crowned Conure has no fear of water and I want to be able to spray him with a spray bottle, but he is deathly afraid of the bottle. how do I get him to let me spray him?

You could look into a pump spray or something that doesn't look like a spray bottle... it could be the action of pumping the water out of the bottle, or how the water falls.

You could try spraying yourself and just having a grand ol' time dancing in the mist! Then misting him once then going on about spraying yourself!

All in all though, it normally helps seeing other birds being misted and enjoying it than something that they don't normally see happen. There are also other ways to go about bathing a bird!

Cut a hole in a paper bag for the spout and place the bottle in the bag to disguise it?

I tried, it didn't work. I think it's the size that scares him.
