Hi everyone new member here.im Angie and im bird crazy, i have a 1yr old beautiful yellow budgie Mookie who loves to talk.
i want to get him a friend but not sure if he would be happy with the change.
Has anyone had any experience with this :D i love all the photos....so cute!!!

Welcome! If you get Mookie another budgie buddy he probably will get along with them. Do you know what sex Mookie is? Hope you enjoy the board!

PS.I don't own any budgies, but if you go on the budgy/parakeet part of the board, I'm sure you'd get much more info than from me :tooth:

What type of friend are you looking to get? Another budgie, a cockatiel, or one of the pyrrhura conures?

If Mookie speaks any human language, then by getting another budgie the new budgie may also learn to speak human, though if you got another bird of a different species then the new bird may not learn to speak human (depends on if it was handraised or not, and how much attention you give him/her).
